Flow State
Sometimes an outpouring of creativity comes when the space around you is a mood, a vibe, candles, music that is the exact score to your life in that moment. You look up, the view before you is that of nature, you’re hydrated, your favourite pen is gliding effortlessly on the page. The moment is looking like one of those aesthetically curated videos on the interwebs.
Other times you're on the couch in an awkward position, big lights on, body parts cramping but it's coming out nonetheless.
Recently one of my flow states came one evening sitting in a hard chair, using the notes app, after watching a disappointing episode of a series that I usually really enjoy.
I’m learning to honour that parts of the process can look and feel a variety of ways especially depending on what is going on in other areas of my life. How I create or what I may find supportive in the process previously may not be what I need today.
Learning to let go of the idea that if it doesn't look or feel a particular way it's not worthy.
